Vintage Northwest Coast Puzzle Box - Painted, Wooden, Handmade
Just over 6 inches long. Looking at the wood grain I would say the three main pieces were made from the same piece of wood.
Skillfully carved and painted. The carving is one with the thick lid, not applied.
Maker and age unknown, possibly 1960s-70s.
I can find only one other similar one online. It sold at auction for 5 ++. You can find it by Googling "Unique Northwest Coast Puzzle Box" - Website is icollector.  I would guess the maker was the same person.
Condition:
Used and excellent.
