    Description

Signed Inuit Eskimo Knife Set 4 Carvel Hall Chas Briddell Cutlery Weyhok ?
This is a vintage set of  4 Carvel Hall by Chas. D. Briddell Crisfield, Maryland steak knifes in the original box. This is a custom set that has been hand scrimshawed and signed. The work may be that of Howard Weyhok (Rock). I got this set with another set of signed Weyhok knifes and the work looks the same. Unfortunately due to the damage of this set I can't read the signature. They can probably be re-inked an then you may be able to read and see the images better.  The clear top and ivory color plastic case measures 9 1/2" x 3 3/4" x 1 3/4". The "Foursome" of knifes (as it is called on the box) measure 8 1/2" each. The blade is 4 1/2" ...and very sharp! The handles measure 4". The blades are marked, " Carvel Hall By Briddle". The scrimshaw is different on each knife. One design is a hunter on dog sled cracking a whip ( cracked on front and back and the ink worn). The second is a house on stilts in the mountains. (cracked on front with piece missing in on back). The third is a seal with head poking out of the ice and another seal on ice flow in the background ( front good , small hairline crack on the back)...this is the best knife in the lot. The last, and worst damaged knife is the fourth...It is half gone and all I can make out is a tiny walrus head. I do not know how the knifes got damaged as they appear nicely kept in the box and the blades look very nice and are still so sharp. See my store for other set of 8 similar knifes.
