Stunning Abalone Sun Mask sculpture..... pictures do not do it justice. Lovely design carved and painted in yellow cedar by First NATIONS artist Steven Charlie. He will be doing a collection of similar pieces in the future and I am hoping to buy the whole collection for my most discerning buyers.
This mask is 9 1/2 inches in height, 8 inches in width and 2" in depth.... Abalone is stunning and takes this carving to a whole new level.
    Stephen Charlie
Stephen was born in 1959 in North Vancouver, British Columbia. A member of the Capilano reservation, he is a Coast Salish native.
Stephen began to carve in the early 1970’s after spending his youth watching his grandfather, Dominic Charlie carve. He is presently carving with Salish master Stan Greene. Though Stephen has done many original paintings and drawings, he prefers to work in wood.
