The Blue Herons done here are designed in modern contemporary Coast Salish Style. The Blue Herons mate "For Life" and stay with their one partner for the rest of their life after courting one another. Seen here in darker and lighter shades of bronze, blue and metallic black, the herons face each other in the shape of a heart. The human faces represent the male on the left, and the female on the right.
