    Description

Up for sale is a Fine Large Pacific Northwest Coast "Cannibal Bird" Cedar Carving with Copper Inlay by Squamish Nation Artist Lance Joseph, circa 1987.  Measuring 36" x 10" x 2", it comes with a card that details some of the history of the "Cannibal Bird Mask" ceremonial usage and has handwritten provenance from where it was acquired by a Doctor (the original owner) in 1990.  It is made of finely carved yellow cedar native to British Columbia, with a copper inlaid eye and native grass feather mane adhered to the top of the piece which makes for a striking and beautiful display.  This is one of my favorite pieces from my collecting antiques and fine art over 35  years so I do have a high price tag as I am comfortable keeping it but would be motivated to sell if the right offer and/or home for it comes along so please feel free to make an offer if you have an interest.
Thanks for looking and please see my other listing for more great one of a kind fine arts and antiques!
