Description

A carving from the 1970's by famous Inuit sculptor Annie Niviaxie (1930-89) whose work is exhibited in the National Gallery of Canada.
The colour is a grey-green with bluish and brownish cast in places. A very beautiful soapstone. The subject is interesting as it is a Mother and Child, but holding what seems to be a pet. This is very beautiful piece and obviously antique. Asking what I paid for it plus shipping.
I can provide the original receipt from 1998 from Alaska on Madison, where I purchased the art work.
