WELCOME CUSTOMER!You are viewing a Vintage item from 1960's. This beautifully-detailed Mexican-art collectible features Aztec patterned border around a bas-relief malachite figurine depicting the Aztec/Mayan corn (Cencetectl/Yum Kaax). This Aztec god of corn was the giver of food, god of fertility and regeneration, and the god to whom the Aztecs offered their blood each year. This piece was produced after 1963, in Cuernavaca Mexico by arts manufacturer Michael Anthony Zarebski.
Vintage Original piece made up of Zarebski's patented compound that uses ground Malachite stone mixed with resin. The Maize god holes a kernel of corn. The wood plaque has a wire hook embedded in it for wall hanging. There is a registration mark on the back of the plaque. In Pre-owned good condition. Made in Mexico.
